Does your Teaching Certificate need to be apostilled?

If you intend to teach English in a foreign country, you will be required to provide apostilled 
Teaching Certificate, University or College diploma, FBI background check, and your TEFL / TESOL certificate. 

Your first step in obtaining an Apostille on your Teaching Certificate is to contact the organization that issued your certificate and ask to provide you with the certified document with an attached affidavit confirming its validity.  A signature of an official signing the Certificate must also be notarized.  Please keep in mind that only the issuing authority (Department of Education, Department of Licensing, etc.) is allowed to attest your Teaching Certificate. Self-attestation is not acceptable.  The Teaching Certificate can be attested only in the state where it was issued, e.g. if you received your Teaching Certificate from the State of Florida, only the Florida Department of Education can have your Certificate signed and notarized.  As soon as you get your Teaching Certificate signed and notarized, you should mail it to our office for Apostille. 

Obtaining an apostille can be intricate. Avoid leaving this task for inexperienced staff or non-professionals who are not fully aware of the complexities of the apostille process and the unique requirements of certain countries. Your application may be rejected, and you lose time and money. Make a better choice!
